Red House Rovers Walking Group
The green walking route has now been way-marked from a start point of the new noticeboard on Watling Street at the canal entrance. A leaflet to cover the walk is available from the Council Offices in Queensway and from the Friends of Fenny Stratford stall at events through the summer. You can also download it from the walks page on this website.
St Martin’s Church allowed us to put up a banner advertising the Poppers Festival. Climbing the tower I took the following pictures of the bells. There are six in total. Unfortunately there are presently no bell ringers.
Parents looking for a new playground to keep their children amused over the summer break can shortly visit the new play area being constructed at Simpson (off Simpson Drive).
The Milton Keynes Council highways work in Aylesbury Street has provided additional parking bays. This will greatly assist with the parking shortage at peek times and has removed several pot holes in the process. One bus stop has moved along the street slightly opposite the Esso garage.
We wish to publicly thank the town council for their grant of £250.00. This assists us in paying for the insurances and fixed costs associated with our activities.
